- Copy the SVG code into your project, or download the icon as an SVG file or a transparent PNG.
What you can do with Zebra Icons
Search by name or meaning
Every one of the 1,891 icons has a name and descriptive tags, so “rubbish” finds the trash can and “home” finds the house. Exact name matches are listed first.
Customize before you download
Set any color with the picker or a hex code, scale the icon from 16 to 512 pixels and make the lines thinner or bolder with the stroke width.
Clean SVG and PNG files
SVG downloads are small standalone files with a 24 × 24 viewBox that scale perfectly. PNG downloads have a transparent background at the exact size you choose.
Share a direct link
The address bar keeps your search and the selected icon, so you can bookmark a result or send a link to a teammate.
Frequently asked questions
Are these icons free for commercial use?
Yes. The icons come from Lucide, which is released under the ISC License; the icons Lucide inherited from Feather are under the similar MIT License. Both are permissive: you can use the icons in personal and commercial projects, including apps, websites, print and client work, without paying or asking permission.
Do I need to credit Lucide?
A visible credit on your website or design is not required. The ISC and MIT licenses ask that their copyright and permission notices stay with copies of the icons, so when you redistribute the icon set or its source files, for example as an icon pack or in an open-source project, include the license text. The linked license file below the icon list contains both notices.
What is the difference between SVG and PNG?
SVG is a vector format: it stays sharp at any size, is tiny and can be restyled with CSS. PNG is a pixel image at a fixed size, which is handy for slides, documents and tools that do not accept SVG.
What does “Use currentColor” do?
It writes stroke="currentColor" into the SVG instead of a fixed color, so the icon automatically takes the text color of the surrounding HTML. This is the usual choice for icons inside buttons and links.
How do I use the SVG code on a website?
Paste the copied code directly into your HTML where the icon should appear, or save it as a .svg file and reference it with an img tag. Inline SVG can be styled with CSS, for example to change its color on hover.
Is anything uploaded when I use Zebra Icons?
No. The icon list is a static file and all customizing, copying and PNG rendering happen in your browser. Your searches and the icons you customize stay in your browser, and there is no account. If anonymous analytics are switched on, they only count events such as “an icon was downloaded”; Zebra Icons does not send the icons you pick or the words you search for. The Privacy page has the details.
